Essential Utilities, Inc. operates regulated utilities that provide water, wastewater, and natural gas services to about 5.5 million people across several states including Pennsylvania, Ohio, Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, New Jersey, Indiana, Virginia, and Kentucky. The company serves residential, commercial, industrial, and other customers under the Aqua and Peoples brands, with water and wastewater services primarily in suburban Pennsylvania and natural gas services mainly in western Pennsylvania and Kentucky. It also offers non-regulated services such as utility service line protection and repair, and engages in gas marketing and production activities.
