Privacy Policy

Analyze Portfolio is operated by Deep Digital Ventures, LLC, a Delaware (USA) limited liability company, which is the controller responsible for your personal data. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal information. For any privacy request, email support@analyzeportfolio.com or use the contact form.

1. Data We Collect

  • Email address and hashed password (for authentication)
  • Portfolio data you enter (holdings, transactions, watchlists)
  • Usage and device data (pages visited, features used, browser/device type) collected via Google Analytics to understand and improve the service
  • Payment information is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the portfolio tracking service
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions
  • To send transactional emails (password resets, account notifications)
  • To improve the service based on aggregated, anonymized usage patterns

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Stripe (payment processing)
  • OpenAI (research features: for Stock Research and the research Assistant we send ticker symbols, market and financial data, excerpts from SEC filings, and the text you type, as you typed it. We do not automatically send your stored portfolio data, name, email, password, payment details, or account identifiers. The portfolio composition snapshot and theme search do their matching and calculations on our own servers and send nothing to OpenAI; ticker symbols are sent to our market-data providers to fetch prices.)
  • Market data providers (only ticker symbols for price queries)
  • Google Analytics (usage analytics: we send a sanitized page path with query strings removed and record identifiers masked, never your email, tokens, or portfolio contents)
  • Resend (delivery of transactional and opt-in email: your email address and the contents of the message we send you)
  • Cloudflare (bot protection on our sign-in, registration, password-reset, contact and newsletter forms: your IP address and browser signals, used only to tell a person from an automated script)
  • Sentry (error monitoring: technical diagnostics when something breaks, which can include your IP address, browser and device details, and the page you were on. We do not send portfolio contents, passwords, or payment details.)

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored on our servers. The account database stores a salted hash of your password, not the password itself. Sessions expire after 30 days.

5. Your Rights

  • Access your data at any time through the app
  • Export your full account data (portfolios, positions, transactions, watchlists, notes) as a JSON file from Settings, on any plan (per-portfolio CSV export is a separate Premium feature)
  • Delete your account and all associated data from Settings. Deletion removes it from the live service. It does not reach copies already written to our routine backups; those age out on the backup cycle, which currently runs about two weeks, and we do not yet publish a guaranteed maximum.
  • Request a copy of your data by contacting us

6. Cookies

We use a session cookie (portfoliotracker_session) to keep you signed in. It lasts 30 days and renews while you keep using the app, so an active session does not expire on its own.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, and a second one beginning _ga_) so it can tell repeat visits apart and measure how the site is used. They last 90 days and hold a randomly generated identifier, not your name or email. The page path we send has query strings removed and record identifiers masked, and we never send Google your email, your tokens, or anything about your holdings.

Advertising features are turned off for this property, so these cookies are not used to advertise to you, and we do not sell your data. If you would rather not be counted, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser: we check for it and record nothing at all when it is set. Google’s opt-out add-on has the same effect. Blocking cookies for this site stops the cookies described above, but on its own it does not stop the measurement. The add-on is at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

7. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the app.
