Creating and Managing Portfolios

How to create, edit, duplicate, and delete portfolios. Manage multiple portfolios for different strategies.

Creating a New Portfolio

Go to Track Portfolios and click the "New Portfolio" button. You will need to provide:

  • Name: A descriptive name for your portfolio (e.g., "Tech Growth", "Dividend Income")
  • Base Currency: The currency your totals are shown in (USD, EUR, GBP, etc.). Holdings priced in another currency are converted for you. If we cannot get a rate for one, that holding is left out of the totals and flagged rather than converted at a guess.

Portfolio Actions

On the Track Portfolios page, click the three-dot menu on any portfolio card to access:

  • Edit: Change the portfolio name or base currency
  • Duplicate: Create a copy of the portfolio with all its positions
  • Delete: Permanently remove the portfolio and all its data

Portfolio Limits by Plan

The free plan covers a small number of portfolios with a starter number of positions in each, which is enough to try the app on a real holding. Premium raises every limit well beyond typical use.

If you ever reach a limit, the app tells you the exact figure at that moment, so there is nothing to look up here. Premium subscribers who genuinely run out of room should get in touch and we will sort something out.

Multi-Currency Portfolios

You can hold stocks from any global market in a single portfolio. If your base currency is USD and you add a stock listed in EUR, we fetch the EUR/USD rate and convert it. The rates used are shown in the portfolio detail view. A holding we cannot convert is excluded from your totals and marked, so a missing rate never quietly becomes a one-to-one conversion.
