Diversified Healthcare Trust is a real estate investment trust that owns and manages senior living communities, medical office buildings, and life science properties across the United States. Its senior living portfolio includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing facilities, while its medical office and life science properties serve healthcare providers and related businesses. The company leases most senior living communities to taxable REIT subsidiaries, which contract third-party managers to operate the facilities.
