Atlantic American Corporation is a holding company operating through subsidiaries in the life, health, property, and casualty insurance industries. Its property and casualty segment, American Southern, provides commercial automobile insurance, general liability insurance, and surety bonds primarily to state governments, local municipalities, and large motor fleets across 32 states and the District of Columbia. Its life and health segment, Bankers Fidelity, offers life insurance, Medicare supplement, and other accident and health insurance products through independent agents in 46 states.
